Development
  • Dallas’ tallest tower is reaching new horizons. It will be redeveloped by new investors buying Bank of America Plaza. The $350 million redevelopment could add a 300-key hotel to the tower and upgrade the surrounding street into a pedestrian-friendly area with restaurants and shops. It will reopen in 2027. (Dallas Business Journal)

  • Richardson’s Cottonwood Festival is back on Saturday, Oct. 5. The two-day festival will feature 200 artist booths, food trucks, craft beer, kid art stations, a chalk walk, and live performances.

  • A new Hong Kong airline will be making its debut at the DFW airport. Cathay Pacific will offer four direct flights to Dallas per week and will increase flights to cities such as New York, San Francisco, and Vancouver. The airline will take flight on April 24, 2025. (Culture Map Dallas)

  • A monument honoring first responders and military members is now open near Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall. The Heroes Memorial Park monument fills a need by recognizing the impact of mental health on first responders, and 252 names are etched into the stone. (NBC 5 DFW)
