DFW Restaurant Week is one of the nation’s most highly anticipated and longest-running culinary events, and is the largest in North Texas. It has taken place for 27 years and has raised nearly $12 million in donations for its charity partners, including $1 million in 2019.

What to expect

Open your mind and let your taste buds explore. More than a hundred restaurants across North Texas participate in DFW Restaurant Week to showcase their menus. Each menu is prix-fixe, offering three-course or two-course meals:
  • Dinner – Three courses for either $49 ($10 donated) or $59 ($12 donated)
  • Signature Experience Dinner – $99 ($20 donated)
    • Exclusive VIP experience: may include signature cocktails, chef’s table, or additional courses crafted for an especially memorable meal
  • Lunch – Two courses for $29 ($6 donated) (at select locations)
  • Weekend Brunch – Two courses for $29 ($6 donated) ( at select locations)

Supporting local causes

Experience good food for a good cause. Approximately 20% of the price of each meal is donated to the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas and the Lena Pope Foundation in Fort Worth. Diners can also make additional donations to the cause of their choice.

Tips for dining success

Make sure to make a reservation to get the most out of your Restaurant Week experience. See the full list of participating restaurants.

Stop by your local Fed-Ex and spend $10 or more for the sacred fourth-course coupon. The free coupon can be used at participating restaurants that may offer a fourth course. Just ask.

Pro tip: City Editor Maiya recommends dining mid-week for more availability and a quieter dining experience.

Major changes are coming to Southwest Airlines.

The Dallas-based airline announced Thursday that it will move forward with assigned seating and premium seating + redeye flights. The airline says this is part of its “strategic transformation” to elevate the customer experience, improve financial performance, and drive shareholder value.

Customer feedback, the airline says, was the force behind their decision. Especially when it came to assigned seating. A date has not been specified for when the new seating policies will be implemented.

The airline will also now offer premium area cabin seating with extended legroom in one-third of the seats in its fleet, according to a press release. Redeye flights are now also available online to reserve.
