Major changes are coming to Southwest Airlines.

The Dallas-based airline announced Thursday that it will now move to assigned seating and offer premium seating + red-eye flights. The airline says this is part of its “strategic transformation” to elevate the customer experience, improve financial performance, and drive shareholder value.

Customer feedback, the airline says, was the force behind this decision-making, especially when it came to assigned seating. A date has not been specified for when the new seating policies will be implemented.

The airline will also now offer premium area cabin seating with extended legroom in one-third of the seats in its fleet, according to a press release. Redeye flights are now also available online to reserve.
