If you’re like many other Dallasites, you may be on the hunt for a local pool this summer. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered with some of our go-to pools around the city.
Nestled on the outskirts of downtown at the fairly new Village Apartments is the Village Beach Club. The new pool offers cabanas, a swim bar, DJ events, and day passes starting at $15. For another downtown option, check out The Westin Galleria Dallas for poolside drinks and food service from the hotel. Entrance is $30 for adults and $15 for kids.
Not too far away from the Galleria, off Central Expressway, is the Beeman Hotel. The newly renovated hotel has an indoor pool with day passes starting at $25 for adults and $10 for kids. Families can also stop by the Texas Pool, a 168,000-gallon saltwater Texas-shaped pool with day passes for $10 per person.
Now, say you want a break from the kids. In Turtle Creek, The Pool Club at Virgin Hotels Dallas is for adults only. The pool is paired with a poolside bar with day passes on sale for $25. Adults looking to take a dip can also head to Lee Harvey’s Dive-In, which doesn’t allow children into their private swim club after 5 p.m. Day passes range from $5 to $20.
For a more active water day, check out surf spots like Good Surf and DFW Surf. Both destinations are making waves in the metroplex with their surfing and bars. Paddleboarding and wake surfing rentals are available at DFW Surf’s premier inland surf destination.

A new vegan frozen yogurt shop opens in Bishop Arts
Experience a burst of flavor at Swirled Peace. | Photo via DALtoday
It’s been two weeks since the opening of Bishop Arts’ first vegan frozen yogurt shop, Swirled Peace, at 309 W. Eighth St. Since its opening, the shop has gone viral for its unique dessert concept.
The spot has a cozy vibe that is a theme for other businesses on the street. Like its across-the-street neighbor coffee shop Wild Detectives, the frozen yogurt business is set up inside a quaint bungalow.
The shop showcases its light and bright colors and unique flavors. From Mexican Vanilla Vacation to Supersonic Strawberry Balsamic, there’s something for everyone. Pro-Tip: City Editor Maiya here. When I visited Swirled Peace, I tried the Mexican Vanilla Vacation and it was very good.
Founded by Dallas resident and ice cream enthusiast Sara Saginaw, the company prides itself on bringing joy, plant-based options, and deliciousness to the community.
