A new luxury apartment complex is now open in Flower Mound’s $2.5 billion mixed-use Lakeside Village development. In addition to its variety of apartments, penthouses, and townhomes, the Thirty-One Eleven Sunset complex features a sixth floor pool, spa, bar + lounge, 24-hour concierge, valet parking, and more. Cause

The Dallas Mavericks recently raised $2.14 million for community projects at their Dallas Mavericks Foundation black tie gala — a record for the annual event. The org raised big money by auctioning off experiences like “Legos with Lively” or a meet and greet with Anthony Davis. (Culture Map Dallas)

Transit

DART in the process of removing the center crosswalks at seven light rail stations in order to improve rider safety and conductor visibility. But don’t worry about your travel times — DART said the work shouldn’t impact light rail service. Construction should wrap up in May. (Dallas Examiner)

The James Beard-nominated chef behind the new Plano dumpling restaurant ShangHai Taste is already opening another venture. Jimmy Li’s new spot, Street, will debut inside the food hall at Legacy West next month with a variety of popular Chinese street food dishes like potstickers. (Dallas Morning News)

Legacy

Former mayor of Plano John N. Muns has died at the age of 95. During his term from 1992 to 1996, Muns he was able to attract employers such as EDS and JCPenney to the city. His son John B. Muns currently serves as the mayor of Plano. (Plano Star Courier)

How’s your Spanish? American Airlines has launched a new international flight from DFW to Tampico International Airport in Tampico, Mexico.
