Local job boards are a total game-changer — for both job seekers and businesses. Instead of sifting through endless listings, they focus on quality over quantity, connecting employers with candidates who actually want to work in the area. That means fewer relocation headaches and better retention.
For big and small businesses, it’s a smart way to connect with candidates who understand the local community and culture. Plus, hiring locally usually means a faster, smoother hiring process. Whether you’re looking for a job or trying to fill one, DALtoday Job Board keeps things simple, practical, and close to home.
Ouch... too soon. The Mavericks just had their first game against Luka Dončić after our former star joined the LA Lakers a few weeks ago. However, we still did fairly well considering all of the team’s injuries. Get the biggest stories every day from the local experts of the Mavericks with Locked On’s daily podcasts.

There may be hope yet for the 118-year-old downtown Neiman Marcus. The project will demolish more than a third of the mall’s current space to make room for new apartments, shops, a hotel, offices, and restaurants. It’s expected to reach completion sometime in 2028. Closing
Dallas is losing a favorite brewery. Outfit Brewing will be closing its doors (but not without a party) on Saturday, March 1, after six years in business. The owners cited rising operational costs + a slow start to 2025 as reason for their decision to shutter. (Dallas Culture Map)

It will probably come as no surprise to say that three DFW-area cities recently made WalletHub’s list of the “Hardest-Working Cities in America.” Plano placed at No. 13, Fort Worth at No. 16, and Garland at No. 21. 🛍️ Let’s get down to (small) business
We love the people of Dallas as much as the skyline — here are our notes for newcomers. | Photo by Matthew T Rader
Here at DALtoday, you may already know we’re big on celebrating local, especially our city’s small businesses. Which is why a week dedicated to highlighting the heart of our communities is right up our alley.
Enter: Small Business Week — a national initiative that acknowledges and celebrates the contributions of small businesses — that we’ll be celebrating from Sunday, May 4 to Saturday, May 10.
We want to join in on the celebrations by highlighting some of the best small businesses in our city.
This is where we need your help.
If you own a local small business or know someone who does, celebrate Small Business Week with us by filling out a form about your business. We’ll be selecting businesses to feature in our newsletter throughout the week.

The Wet Brush hairbrush features a vented design for faster airflow plus heat-resistant bristles, while the 4.7-star rated Kenra spray detangles, smooths, and decreases blow-dry time by 50%.
It’s starting to warm up, folks. We may only be a couple weeks out from some snow, but this week’s forecast shows nothing but temps in the 60s + 70s for awhile. The high on Saturday is predicted to reach 76° — go have a picnic.
