The Dallas City Council voted to reduce the speed limit for a portion of the U.S. 75 Central Expressway. From Mockingbird Lane to Woodall Rogers Freeway, the speed limit will be reduced from 70 mph to 65 mph. (NBC DFW)

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines has announced the departure of six of its board directors in November with plans to appoint four new ones. The airline intends to keep CEO Robert Jordan, who will also help appoint new board members next year. (WFAA)

New data shows commercial projects are down nationwide, but that isn’t the case in the DFW area. The study reported DFW is responsible for nearly 10% of all commercial real estate under construction in the US, totaling 6+ million sqft in new offices.

Now that’s game. WFAA has secured a major multi-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks. All 70 or more non-nationally televised games will be broadcast for free during the upcoming season.
