If you’re lagging in motivation, feeling less productive, or find yourself feeling stressed, you might need to take a mental health day
Just like taking a sick day when our bodies are under the weather, taking a mental health day allows for our minds to rest and ensure our well-being.
Here are four ways you can recharge in the metroplex:
Get some fresh air
Get out the house and take some time to yourself at the park. We suggest taking a stroll on the Katy Trail. We also have a list of other trails perfect for a mental health day. Parks like the Dallas Arboretum are also top-notch for picnics or dog walks.
Ceramic classes are another way to show self-expression and de-stress from work life. What about taking a day off and enjoying a pottery and ceramics class at TRADE in Oak Cliff? Check out their classes available in September.
If anyone knows what you need to recharge your battery, it’s you. Take the day to do whatever brings you joy. Here’s how the DALtoday team recharges their batteries:
City Editor Maiya enjoys retail therapy and a trip to a record store or thrift store.
Senior National Content Editor Mitch enjoys relaxing with a nostalgic movie and spending time with his cat.
