As California becomes more expensive to live in, filmmakers, actors, and film studios are looking to expand right here in the Lone Star State. Don’t be surprised when you start sharing your favorite local coffee spot with your favorite Netflix star.

South Side Studios in Dallas, TX

Located in Dallas, just 2 miles from Downtown is a large-scale production facility and was the metroplex’s first major film and TV studio. The studio houses two sets: one 70,000 sqft West Stage Building and one approximately 50,000 sqft of the Support Building.

Super Studios Mansfield in Mansfield, TX

This new studio will be under Creative Tank Inc. The mixed-use facility that will include 50,000 sqft of sound stages and 50,000 sqft of wood and production shops in each section. The studio will also feature retail stores, themed restaurants, salons, fitness centers, salons, studios, lofts, multi-family, and two hotels. Gates open in 2025.

Trilogy Studios in Fort Worth

Storytelling comes alive at this full-service production studio. The production company is currently in the midst of building three new stages as well as the largest virtual cinematic LED volume production stage in the state of Texas. Construction for the stages will be completed in 2025.

Dr. Phil’s studio - Merit Street Media, Fort Worth

The talk show therapist has recently made Cow Town the new home of his production studio for his new media company. The studio opened back in February and since has been the home of “Dr. Phil Primetime” which premiered on Monday, Feb. 26.
