Are you a MFFL (Mavs Fan For Life)? Us too. Now, fans have another option to watch their favorite team play.
The Dallas Mavericks announced the launch of MavsTV, which will allow fans to stream more than 70 games that aren’t being nationally televised.
Fans have two options when it comes to accessing the game highlights: a free option and a paid option.
Free: Tune in to your local station for a free over-the-air broadcast on either WFAA (Ch. 8) or KFAA 29 (Ch. 29), thanks to a deal making WFAA parent company TEGNA the Maverick’s official local broadcast partner.
Paid: For those who want more flexibility, join a paid subscription-based service powered by NBA’s Next Gen, which can be found on the NBA App. The streaming option is available for a $14.99 monthly fee, or $124.99 for a season-long pass, per the release.
Beginning Saturday, Oct. 26 for the Mavs vs. Suns game, fans in an approved region in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma can starting watching games for free over the air on KFAA Ch. 29 and WFAA Ch. 8. Plus, at least 15 games will also be showing on WFAA’s Ch. 8.
“We have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” said Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall in the press release. “We are thrilled to offer multiple options for our fans who deserve seamless, enjoyable viewing experiences.”
This season’s broadcast team will include Mark Followill, Mavericks legends Derek Harper and Devin Harris, Dana Larson, Lesley McCaslin and Jeff “Skin” Wade + a rotating panel of guest analysts and Mavs greats.
Listen to Chuck Cooperstein call games’ play-by-play action with new partner radio analyst Brian Dameris, as Mavericks legend Brad Davis announced his retirement from the radio broadcast in summer 2024. To listen to the game in Spanish, tune into Zona MX 99.1 FM to hear announcer Victor Villalba call the action.
