SMU among colleges selected to host NCAA events

Over 240 host sites will be home to the preliminary and final rounds for predetermined championships across Divisions I, II, and III, primarily for the NCAA 2026-27 and 2027-28 seasons.

The SMU Mustangs will host the women’s golf Division I Regionals in 2027.

More than 240+ locations have been chosen to host various championship events between 2024 and 2028, according to a recent NCAA announcement.

This long list, which showcases institutions and locations all around the nation, demonstrates their dedication to holding elite collegiate contests.

Notably, Southern Methodist University is one of the chosen schools, highlighting its contribution to the promotion of collegiate athletics. American Airlines Center was also mentioned as the arena will be hosting the 2028 Division I South Regional.

The Dallas schedule is as followed:

2027 Division I Regionals

  • Women’s Golf
  • Trinity Forest Golf Club
  • Host: Southern Methodist University

2028 Division I South Regional

  • Men’s Basketball
  • American Airlines Center
  • Hosts: Conference USA and Dallas Sports Commission
