From North Texas to Paris: These Olympians with ties to Dallas will be competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics

The City of Dallas will be represented well at Paris 2024 Summer Olympics —Proving once again the metroplex is not to be messed with.

The Paris 2024 Summer Olympics will start on Friday, July 26. These Dallas athletes will make their way to the world stage to compete against other countries from around the world.

Sha’Cari Richardson, Track
Oak Cliff Native, Richardson won the women’s 100-meter final in Oregon, thus solidifying her spot on the U.S. Olympic Team.

David Johnston, Swimming
Johnston is a Junior at UT Austin. He will compete in the 1500 free, with a personal record time of 15:02:37.

Teal Cohen, Rowing
Cohen recently won the 2024 World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta.

Scottie Scheffler, Golf
This golfer currently holds the spot for the World’s No. 1 Golfer. Proving he is definitely one to watch during the Olympics.

Jaedyn Shaw, Soccer
Shaw’s roots began in Frisco. This will be the first time she will compete for a world championship with the USWNT on the senior level.

Hezly Rivera, Gymnastics
Plano local, Rivera, is the youngest member of Team USA. She previously won the all-around title in the junior division last year at the U.S. Championships.
