Stroll through Shem Creek or The Old Village to admire homes decked out in twinkling lights, then pop into Mount Pleasant Towne Centre or the boutiques along Pitt Street for unique gifts and local finds.

🎄 Saturday, Dec. 13
Soak up the holiday spirit at the annual Holiday Market & Craft Show, featuring handcrafted works by local artisans, baked goods, and live entertainment.

✨ Sunday, Dec. 14
Catch the Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade along West Coleman Boulevard, kicking off with a dazzling fireworks show. Wrap up the weekend with a relaxing walk in one of the town’s scenic parks.

Traffic

You may want to add a little time to your airport commute — an eight-week roadway improvement project near Dallas Love Field is underway, causing lane closures and delays. Long-term, the work will improve traffic flow. For now, drivers are urged to plan ahead. (WFAA)

Sports

As part of their move from Arlington to Frisco, the Arlington Renegades are once again the Dallas Renegades. The United Football League team will kick off the 2026 season at Toyota Stadium — schedule + tickets are TBA. (WFAA)

When one taco joint closes, another taco joint opens. Taqueria La Ventana is now open in the former Velvet Taco space at 3012 N. Henderson Ave. The to-go- and takeout-only spot is currently offering 50% off on the website, with full service to begin in a few weeks. (CultureMap Dallas)

North Texas may soon have its first-ever hospice house for people experiencing homelessness. The nonprofit-led site east of downtown Dallas — a historic property on Swiss Avenue — would be able to serve five people at a time. (NBC DFW)
