JW Steakhouse, 800 N. Hardwood St. | Steak
A new steakhouse is now open on the 11th floor of the Marriott in downtown Dallas featuring a fusion menu of Texas dry-aged steaks that also pull inspiration from Hispanic and Asian cultures. Bonus: It has a wraparound view of the city for those perfect date night photos.

Think you already have a favorite burger in town? Not a damn chance. NADC Burger’s first Dallas location will serve its typical menu of four items: the NADC Burger (duh), a kids burger, fries, and Beast Mode Fries.

A Nashville-style honky-tonk is slated to open Thursday, Oct. 9 in the former Bottled Blonde space near Deep Ellum. Palomino Ranch — from the same operators behind Bottled Blonde — will offer “interactive” drinks, DJs, and a redesigned rooftop patio. (CultureMap Dallas)

Dallas-based Spicytude, which sells chai and Indian spices, won third place in H-E-B’s statewide Quest for Texas Best competition. The prize includes $10,000 and the chance to sell products in H-E-B stores. (CultureMap Dallas)

Oak Cliff’s new Wheatland Park Football Complex is now open. The city invested $2.5 million into the space, which will be used for practice by David W. Carter High School. (CBS News)
