Community

The Madison Fire Department has a reminder for all aspiring home cooks out there: Keep an eye on your baked beans. The local department was dispatched to the south side after a fire started in a vacant apartment room. The culprit? A still-smoking, burnt pot of baked beans. (WMTV15)

Drink

A mellow moment in a can? Count us in. Cycling Frog is offering a free THC seltzer (just cover $2 shipping). Each flavor (Black Currant, Ruby Grapefruit, or Wild Cherry) pairs THC and CBD for a crisp, balanced sip that’s legal, low-key, and perfect for lakeside unwinding.*

Finance

Upcoming tariffs could spike prices on car replacement parts, making auto maintenance in Madison even more expensive. One way to offset those costs? An extended auto warranty. This provider is offering $300 off new plans. T&Cs apply; see disclaimers for important consumer information.*

Biz

Why are the same firms that backed Uber, Venmo, and eBay also backing Pacaso (Nasdaq ticker reserved: $PCSO)? Because it’s disrupting the $1.3 trillion vacation home market with co-ownership, already earning $110 million+ in gross profit in under five years. (And until midnight, you can join the 10,000+ shareholders.)‡*

The Wrap

This week’s story about the wrecked ship at the bottom of Lake Michigan reminds me of this absolute banger by Gordon Lightfoot. The song, named “Wreck of Edmund Fitzgerald,” aptly tells the story of a carrier ship that wrecked in Lake Superior.
