The City of Garland has approved a measure that rezones 317 acres on the city’s south side to make way for more urban residential and urban business district developments. Nine businesses headquartered in Dallas made this year’s Fortune 500 list. Names that made it on this ranking of the biggest US companies by revenue include AT&T at No. 37, Energy Transfer at No. 53, and CBRE at No. 128. Ka-ching.

But revenue isn’t the only game Dallas is killing it in — DFW is also leading the US in the number of new corporate headquarters added to its city. Roughly 100 HQs moved to DFW between 2018 and 2024, putting us at the No. 1 spot. Austin ranked second on this list. (Dallas Business Journal)

Don’t forget to head to the polls this Saturday, June 7. Several local runoff elections will be on the ballot depending on where you live.
