Development
A $1.65 billion reconstruction project for I-345 is making progress towards breaking ground. The project will repair 2.8 miles of aging road, realign cross streets, and improve interchanges with other freeways. The Texas Department of Transportation will finish an environmental study this summer and then transition into securing funding. (Dallas Business Journal)

Your kids might be excited to know that ticket sales + hotel reservations will open later this year for the new $550 million Universal Kids Resort theme park in Frisco. Slam dunk — Dallas-area teens can now sign up for the Mayor’s Youth Sports Ticket Program, which gives kids free tickets to sporting events like Dallas Mavericks games or NASCAR races. The program aims to give underprivileged youth a chance to enjoy the fun. Kids must be ages 12-17 to register. (WFAA)

Dallasites will soon be able to travel to a new Asian destination via a direct flight for the first time. Taiwan-based airline EVA Air will offerservice to Taipei from DFW International Airport three times a week beginning on Oct. 3. (Dallas Business Journal)
