What to expect from the economy in 2025

Presented by The PNC Financial Services Group

The new year is looking bright — and so is the 2025 economy. According to PNC Chief Economist Gus Faucher, the US economy is in good shape, thanks to four primary drivers:
    1. Low unemployment
    2. Solid job gains
    3. Good wage growth
    4. Rising household wealth
Consider this: More jobs and rising wages often result in higher incomes and increased household spending. And since consumer spending makes up approximately two-thirds of the US economy, it’s reasonable to expect that the broader economy will expand too.

Other factors that support the health of the economy and quality of life include:
    • Slowing inflation
    • Continued strength in biz investment (think: equipment, workplaces, and technology for workers)
    • Falling interest rates and lower mortgage rates
Pro tip: PNC’s economic insights are updated throughout the year, so be sure to check back in.

For richer or pour over, Dallas’ coffee shops are what keep us going in the morning. In fact, Dallas ranks among the top coffee cities in America thanks to factors like cafes per capita and the price of beans.

Ready to sip? Check out our guide to some of the best coffee shops in Dallas.

Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters, South Dallas | If you’re interested in what goes on behind the scenes of roasting, grinding, and brewing your cup, this is the place to be.

Sugar & Sage Bakery, University Park | No visit to this patisserie and coffee bar is complete without picking up a Cinnamon ‘Cruffin’ Brioche Feuilleté or Apricot Verbena Danish. Sugar & Sage also brews beans from Dallas-based roaster Noble Coyote Coffee.

Window Seat Coffee, Lower Greenville | Need a vacation? The small airplane-inspired interior will make you feel like you’re working from the skies — with Wi-Fi that’s a lot easier to access.

Sip Stir Coffee House, Multiple locations | We recommend bringing your laptop to the Uptown location for a space with warm lighting, a range of seating options, and a solid cup of joe. Try the butter beer latte.

Single use face towels. Real talk: those washcloths you’ve used for years are likely harboring bacteria and roughing up your delicate moisture barrier. Go for a hygienic, gentler alternative with Sky Organics hypoallergenic face towels, made from 100% renewable plant fiber.

A trip to Dubai is already bound to include plenty of opportunities to enjoy the finer things in life, but some new upgraded seats on the Emirates flight between DFW and the UAE city have made trips even fancier.

The airline’s new premium economy seats on this trip include six-way adjustable headrests, reclining chairs, more legroom, foot rests (it’s the small things), and some of the biggest tv screens of similar flights. Woweee.
