As of today, polls are open in Texas and the General Election is in full swing. Before you head out, here’s a refresh on what you’ll be voting on. (Psst — you can also see a full sample ballot here.)

    Offices up for election

Voters will select for federal offices including the president, senators, and US representatives, but several state-wide and local seats will also be up for grabs. In Dallas County, this includes:
    • State Senators in districts 12, 16, and 23
    • State Representatives in districts 100-115
    • Texas Supreme Court Justices in districts 2, 4, and 6
Curious which districts you live in? Look up who represents your neighborhood.

    Local initiatives

In addition to local offices, Dallas residents will vote on a handful of city propositions.

This includes Proposition C, which would increases the mayor’s annual salary to $110,000 + councilmembers’ annual salaries to $90,000. Salaries would be subject to additional growth equal to inflation.
