• In less than two weeks, a $325 million project near Trinity River will begin. It’s Harold Simmons Park, and demolition crews are expected to arrive on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The project will bring a 300-acre park to the area, complete with fire pits, high-rise overlooks, and nature trails. (Paper City Mag)

• What’s better than movies on a rooftop? Free movies on a rooftop. Check out the lineup of horror flicks at Granada, which will screen movies each Tuesday evening from Oct. 15 through Oct. 31. The rooftop will open at 6 p.m. and movies should begin around 7:30 p.m.

• It’s never too early for Christmas at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The popular district just got a holiday-themed makeover in honor of the arrival of “Campy Christmas.” This is an immersive art experience that tells the story of past and present Christmas events. (CultureMap Dallas)

• So long, Bally. After much fan speculation, the Texas Rangers confirmed they will not air home games on Bally Network next season. It’s unclear who will broadcast games in 2025, although more rumors have circulated about the team starting its own network. (Dallas Business Journal)
