  • Dallas Love Field announced that they will increase the daily parking rates by $5 to $8 in Garages A, B, and C starting Friday, Oct. 18. The first hour will remain free for passenger pickups. (WFAA)

  • Get ready to start your engines. For the first time in two years, the NTT IndyCar Series will be held in Arlington. The race will take place in 2026 around the Dallas Cowboys National Football League stadium and The Texas Ranger’s Major League Baseball Stadium. (WFAA)

  • Uptown Dallas will soon have another hotel to call it home. Ground has broken on the AC Hotel and Moxy Hotel. Both hotels are under the Marriott brand and will be complete by Summer 2026. (CultureMap Dallas)

  • The Texas Cultural Trust has opened up a grant for arts education in Texas. During the previous years, the organization has awarded more than 400 grants, with $4.3 million given away to students in the arts. This grant cycle is open now until Sunday, Dec.1. (The Dallas Voice)

    October is filled with frightful fun in the City of Denton. This is the city’s first year as an official Halloween town, making the city a major Halloween destination. Many local businesses have joined in on the theme by decorating their storefronts and offering themed drinks and food.

    There are also different events that are being held each day:

    Look, I love a good scare and during the spooky season, I always make it a point to visit one haunted House. Let’s scream together at Denton’s The Parker House. The 1940s home was once a mortuary that was closed down by the FBI due to the horrific acts by the Parker’s daughter Mary.
