The Dallas City Council last week approved a new program to honor fallen first responders by installing street signs with the names of the officers in the neighborhoods they served. The initiative will honor 167 police officers and firefighters, with the first two signs scheduled to be installed near Deep Ellum this week. (Dallas Morning News)

The Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas is opening a second location at its Richardson campus. It will be the first cultural building for the location. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new location will be held on Sept. 24. (Dallas Business Journal)
