New LED dome set to light up Dallas at the end of August

Usually going to the game is the best way to watch sports, but a new entertainment venue in Dallas is here to challenge that.

Cosm Dallas — located at the Grandscape in The Colony — is a state-of-the-art venue. It will feature an 80+ ft LED dome that will screen live sports from the perspective of the front row. And luckily for Texans, it will open on Saturday, Aug. 31 with Clemson at Georgia (11 a.m.) + Notre Dame at Texas A&M (6:30 p.m.).

Additionally, this new 65,000-sqft venue will function similarly to the billion-dollar sphere in Las Vegas. The dome will host impressive art events and light shows in addition to other sporting events, like Premier League Soccer and UFC Fight Nights.

From the editor
Happy Wednesday, Dallas. I can’t lie — Cosm is right up my alley. I love live sports, but sitting in the stadium can be hard on your knees and back. This seems like the perfect compromise — if you can even call it that. Front row seats are hard to come by.
