Federales featured Tex-Mex on their menu.

Last week, we asked which Dallas restaurants you miss the most and which meals you wish were still around.

Readers responded and we’ve added some of our most-missed restaurants as well. Do you remember any of these favorites?

Federales | 2022- 2024 | This sports bar was the perfect place to watch the game and enjoy brunch on the weekends. We will miss throwing ice cubes at the gong. City editor Maiya T. misses: Their margaritas were always a favorite.

The Grape Restaurant | 2007- 2019 | Ahh... good times were always had at this renowned brunch spot in Lower Greenville known for its famous burger. Suggested by reader Elizabeth H.

The Big Easy | 1994- 2014| Known for its Cajun food, the restaurant may have closed its doors, but luckily, the same menu can be found at its sister restaurant, Fishmongers at 1901 North Central Expressway in Plano. City editor Summer A. misses: Their Etouffee and Shrimp Po’Boys were so good.

Sugar Factory | 2021 - 2024 | Miami’s sweet tooth palace found its way to Dallas with its sugar rush larger-than-life desserts. Their shakes were very popular for the overload of sweets in one shake.

Sugar Factory shakes were known for their sugary toppings like these pictured here.

Foxtrot | 2019- 2024 | This popular cafe and deli market closed all four of its locations in Dallas. From the black and white French decor, unique snacks, and deli foods this place will be missed. City editor Maiya T. misses: Their selection of local products always kept me in the know.

Slutty Vegan |2023 - 2024 | Deep Ellum’s newest vegan burger spot temporarily closed its doors in September 2024 with no word for when it will reopen. The most popular item was the vegan burger, “The One Night Stand” — made with vegan bacon, vegan cheese, onions, lettuce, and tomato on a Hawaiian bun.
