Thanks to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center, we know what temperatures and precipitation trends to expect in our city for the rest of October and November. While exact weather conditions typically can’t be predicted more than a week in advance, here’s a seasonal outlook to help you prepare for what fall will bring.
Temperature
Fall may feel pretty toasty — Dallas is predicted to have temperatures leaning 40-50% above normal this season.
Precipitation
Don’t anticipate too much rainfall — autumn should bring the typical amount of precipitation in the metroplex. Dallas has a 40-50% chance of seeing below-normal than average rainfall amounts this fall.
Oh hay, October
Dallasites will experience a decrease in the average high temperatures, falling from September’s tropical 87.8°F (31°C) to a moderately hot 76.3°F (24.6°C). An average low temperature of 58.8°F (14.9°C) can be felt during the October nights.
Hot cocoa November
Winter is coming. This month will be a significant change from October, as temps lower and chances of rainfall decline. The resurrection of snowfall in November, with 0.04" (1mm) recorded, signals the return of colder conditions to the city. Dallas in November has an average high-temperature of 64.6°F (18.1°C) and an average low-temperature of 49.3°F (9.6°C).
