Dallas is undergoing a wave of transformative development projects, each aiming to reshape the cityscape and enhance its urban appeal.

From modern high-rise towers to revitalized historic sites, these initiatives reflect a dynamic vision for Dallas’s future.

300 Pearl St. — A new landmark in East Quarter

The East Quarter project, spearheaded by Todd Interests, is transforming Dallas’ historic auto row. The first major component, 300 Pearl, is a 20-story mixed-use tower that looks to modernize the area.

Located at the intersection of Pearl Street and Cesar Chavez Boulevard, this development will feature 336 Class A apartments, 180,000 sqft of office space, and 25,000 sqft of retail space. Notably, the project will also preserve two 1940s-era buildings along Cesar Chavez Boulevard, incorporating them into the tower’s design for added historical charm.

The Central Project — A $2.5 billion vision

The Central, a $2.5 billion mixed-use project by De La Vega is still developing since the clearing of the land and 2022 groundbreaking. Building has begun with more work to go. The project will feature redesigned high-rise towers with enhanced health and wellness elements, such as improved air filtration systems and touchless technology.

Dallas Midtown — A major urban revamp

Dallas Midtown, led by Beck Ventures, is set to transform 400 acres in North Dallas over the next 10 to 15 years. The initial phase will introduce a 27-story office tower, a 20-story residential building, and new retail spaces. Designed to be sustainable and pedestrian-friendly, the project will also incorporate green areas and improved connectivity. Construction is slated to start in late 2024.
