A path winds through patches of pumpkins and decorated pumpkin structures

When it comes to picking pumpkins, Dallas residents have plenty of choices.

Grab your sweaters and lattes — it’s officially pumpkin season. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden’s 19th annual Autumn at the Arboretum starts Saturday, Sept. 21 and runs through Nov. 3.

For 19 years, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has helped Dallasites get into the autumnal spirit with gourd-geous displays of fall flora.

The event features 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash from Texas’ pumpkin capital, Floydada, which is about 5.5 hours from Dallas, just north of Lubbock. The seasonal festival also features a variety of autumnal plants. This year’s Pumpkin Village, “Texas Town,” will take participants through Texas pioneer life.

The Arboretum will also have seasonal programs, musical entertainment, and tastings including:

Tequila & Tacos: Adults Only Night | September 28 | 6-7 p.m. | DeGolyer House | $85-$89 | Taste six Socorro Tequila cocktails, enjoy a taco buffet, and dance the night away to live Latin music.

Fall Vendor Market and Craft Fair | October 12-13 | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. | Main Entry Plaza | Shop from 30+ local vendors and artisans to get a head start on your holiday gift list.

Pumpkins & Pints Nights | Select nights in September and October | 6-9 p.m. | Pumpkin Village | $9-$22 | Try local craft beers and wine while listening to live music.
